Daniel Montanarini is writer/ director from South-East London. He studied Film and Literature at The University of Warwick under Victor Perkins founder of film studies in the UK and Directing Fiction at The National Film School.

His first short film 'The Guest' starred Olivia Williams, premiered at Krakow International Film festival and got him into The National Film and Television School. His graduation film 'Seahorse' premiered at Austin International Film Festival where it was nominated for best International Short.

His last film 'The Arrival' premiered as a Vimeo Staff Pick, featured on Short of The Week and won the women’s award at Le Temps Presse Festival founded in by Wim Wenders in Paris. In 2017 Daniel was shortlisted for D&AD’s New Director Award.

He is currently finishing post-production on the short film 'The Departure' starring Neil Maskell.
